Elmer Timberman Masonic Lodge No. 54, AF&AM

WE ARE a Masonic Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons chartered February 11, 1953 AD (5953 AL) holden under the Grand Lodge of the Commonwealth of VA

FROM THE EAST - Greetings Brethren, I want to thank all of you who came out to our stated communication in January.  I hope to see you all again throughout the year.  We have some exciting events coming up over the next few months.  This month at our stated communication we will receive Right Worshipful Romeo Arquines for his official visit to Elmer Timberman as District Deputy Grand Master for Masonic District 1B.  Dinner will start at 6:15pm and lodge will start promptly at 7:30pm.  In March, Worshipful Brother Terry DuVall will give a presentation on the Grotto.  As many of you know, Elmer Timberman will move to District 1A at the end of 2018 and this raises a lot of questions.  In April, we will begin a discussion about the transition to District 1A and the future of Elmer Timberman Lodge.  I hope to see all of you at lodge and I hope this message finds you and your families well.

Sincerely and Fraternally, Mark Coldren, WM

"The secret of Masonry, like the secret of life, can be known only by those who seek it, serve it, live it.  If cannot be uttered; it can only be felt and acted.  It is, in fact, an open secret, and each man knows it according to his quest and capacity.  Like all things worth knowing, no one can know it for another and no man can know it alone."  ~Joseph Fort Newton

A Freemason conducts himself in society as if there were no laws - human or Divine, except those written in his heart by the finger of his Creator.  He kneels before the universal throne of the Divine in gratitude for the blessings he has received and humble solicitation for his future protection.  He does not disturb or mock the Religion of others.  He restrains his passions in a manner that will not injure himself or his neighbor.  He gives no offense, because he does not choose to be offended.  He contracts no debts which he is certain he cannot fulfill, because he is honest upon principal.
